This Privacy Policy governs your use of the mobile software application Phonetastic (“Application”, “App”) developed by AppBakery OÜ (“Developer”). The Application provides users with phone number lookup, caller classification, spam detection, and related informational services.

Phonetastic is an independent application and is not affiliated with any telecom operator, directory provider, government registry, or third-party caller identification service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information (Apple Sign In)

To use the Application, you must sign in using Sign in with Apple. When you create an account, Apple provides us with:

• a unique, private Apple user identifier
• your display name (only on first sign-in)
• your email address, or an anonymised relay email if you choose “Hide My Email”

This information is used exclusively to authenticate you, maintain your lookup history limits, manage fair usage policies, and restore purchases across devices.

User-Provided Information

You may voluntarily provide additional information when contacting customer support or submitting spam number reports. This may include your email address or message content. This information is used only to resolve your request or improve App features.

Lookup Data

When you perform a phone number lookup, the App securely transmits the searched number to our backend to provide caller information, user-generated reports, and spam classifications.

We do not permanently store your full lookup history. Lookup events may be temporarily recorded to:

• prevent abuse
• enforce daily fair-usage limits
• improve data quality

This data is periodically cleared.

Fair-Usage Information

To maintain service quality, the App stores limited daily usage information:

• your Apple Sign In user identifier
• the date of lookup activity
• the number of lookups performed that day

This ensures compliance with daily lookup limits and prevents automated misuse.

Automatically Collected Information

The Application may automatically collect anonymous technical information such as:

• device model and iOS version
• App usage statistics
• crash reports (via Apple or optional third-party services)

This information is used solely to improve reliability and performance.

2. Does the App Collect Precise Real-Time Location Data?

No. Phonetastic does not access, request, or store location information.

3. Data Stored for Purchases

When you make an in-app purchase (subscription or credits), Apple provides a secure transaction identifier used to validate and restore your purchase. The App may store:

• transaction ID (hashed or anonymized)
• purchase type
• subscription or credit status

This data ensures premium features remain available across your devices.

4. Do Third Parties Have Access to This Information?

We do not sell or share personal data. Information may be disclosed only:

• To Apple — for authentication and purchase validation.
• To service providers — such as error reporting or analytics tools.
• For legal compliance — if required by law or court order.

All third parties operate under strict confidentiality and data protection obligations.

5. Opt-Out Rights

You may stop all data collection by uninstalling the Application. To delete your account or any user-provided data, contact us at the email below.

6. Data Retention Policy

• Apple user identifier — retained while your account remains active.
• Fair usage counters — stored per-day and automatically expired.
• Lookup logs — temporary, periodically deleted.
• Customer support messages — stored only as long as necessary to resolve the request.
• Crash and analytics data — retained according to Apple or service provider retention schedules.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly store personal information of minors. If you believe such data exists, please contact us and we will remove it.

8. Security

We maintain industry-standard security measures including encryption, access controls, and isolated infrastructure. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Any major changes will be posted within the Application or on our website. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
